The G-Class reveals its extreme side: The BRABUS 900 ROCKET EDITION CABRIO, based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 of the W 465 series, is a four-door convertible with an unmistakable presence. Visible carbon fiber, 24-inch wheels, and an electrically operated soft top meet the performance of the BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo engine.
The result: 662 kW / 900 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 240 km/h. The open-top supercar will celebrate its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.
Exclusive coachbuilding: the G-Class as a convertible
The iconic silhouette remains, but the roof concept is completely new. More than 500 specially manufactured components form the basis of the two-piece convertible top construction. According to BRABUS, targeted reinforcements bring the body rigidity up to the level of the closed base vehicle.
The electric soft top opens or closes in just 20 seconds. A reinforced windshield frame, a carbon fiber bow, and the carbon-clad “C-BOW” steel roll bar ensure stability. A heated glass rear window, woven “77” details, and signature stripes complete the design.
Quality is also rigorously checked: Before delivery, each vehicle undergoes a rain test of more than ten hours in the climate chamber.
V8 biturbo with 900 hp and up to 1,250 Nm
At BRABUS engine manufacturing in Bottrop, the displacement of the eight-cylinder engine is increased to 4,407 cm³. Forged pistons, high-performance connecting rods and a special crankshaft, together with two larger turbochargers, form the basis for the enormous increase in performance.
The ROCKET 900, designated as a 4.5-liter V8, produces 662 kW / 900 hp and develops a maximum torque of 1,250 Nm. In the vehicle, this figure is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 3.7 seconds, and the electronic limiter kicks in at 240 km/h to protect the tires.
The high-performance stainless steel exhaust system delivers the perfect sound. Thanks to the exhaust flap control, the sound ranges from a powerful V8 roar in Sport mode to a subtle "Coming Home" mode. Side-mounted twin tailpipes with carbon fiber trim and ROCKET Launch Ambience Light add further visual appeal.
Visible carbon fiber and 24-inch wheels: presence from every perspective
The BRABUS ROCKET EDITION widebody version combines matte and gloss black with high-gloss sealed exposed carbon fiber. Large air intakes, a front spoiler, and a power dome define the front end. The illuminated carbon fiber grille frame with red signature stripes and an illuminated BRABUS emblem makes its appearance unmistakable, even at night.
The 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock II “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels are a perfect match. They reinterpret the legendary three-spoke design and combine it with visible carbon aero blades. The tires measure 295/30 ZR 24 at the front and 345/25 ZR 24 at the rear.
The BRABUS RideControl aluminum coilover suspension, developed in collaboration with KW, allows for a lowering of up to 45 millimeters. The damping can be adjusted via the standard Drive Select switch.
Masterpiece interior with ROCKET RED
Inside, black leather and Alcantara meet precise "Shell" quilting, red contrast stitching, and "ROCKET RED" details. Carbon fiber trim and pedal covers continue the sporty design language in the cockpit.
Carbon fiber paddle shifters with LED tachometers indicate the optimal shift point. Illuminated door sills complement the ambient lighting. Thanks to special "Easy Entry" hinges, the rear doors open up to 90 degrees, facilitating access to the rear seats.
To match the interior, each vehicle receives leather-wrapped keys and a BRABUS weekender leather bag. A blockchain-based Digital Product Passport documents authenticity, ownership, and vehicle specifications.
