Bremotion finishes the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season in Zolder with pole position and a podium finish

Bremotion capped off a successful NASCAR Euro Series season with a strong performance at the finale in Zolder, Belgium. Garrett Lowe secured another pole position and finished second in Saturday's race. On Sunday, the American driver battled for a top result until just a few laps from the end, when a technical issue forced him to retire while running in second place overall. Lowe thus finishes the season third in the Junior standings. Teammate Dominique Schaak confirmed his strong form in the OPEN class, securing third place overall in the Masters Trophy to close out the year.
Saturday morning's qualifying session already gave reason to hope for a successful final weekend: Garrett Lowe put the #99 Chevrolet Camaro on pole position in the V8GP championship. He had previously achieved this at Brands Hatch.
At the start of Saturday's first race, the American initially defended his lead, but had to relinquish it after a safety car period during the restart. Lowe then stayed close to his rival, putting him under pressure for much of the race, but couldn't find a way past. With second place in both the overall standings and the Junior classification, he kept his title hopes alive for Sunday's decisive race.
Lowe again started Sunday's final from pole position. Once again, a close duel ensued at the front. Although the Bremotion driver lost the lead at the start, he remained close to his rival well into the second half of the race, constantly putting him under pressure.
With just a few laps to go, a bitter setback followed: a broken throttle cable forced Lowe to make an unscheduled pit stop, dropping him back to 20th place. This means the American finishes his season in sixth place overall in the V8GP championship. He secured third place in the Junior standings.
“Of course, we didn’t want a finale like this,” said Bremotion team principal Patrick Brenndörfer. “Garrett delivered an outstanding performance throughout the entire race weekend, which unfortunately wasn’t rewarded in the end. Without the technical issue, a significantly better overall result would have been possible. Nevertheless, we can be absolutely satisfied with his season. The pole positions and several podium finishes demonstrate the potential he showed this year. In the end, we simply lacked that little bit of luck needed to crown this strong season with an even better championship result.”
Schaak takes third place in the Masters Trophy
In the OPEN class, Dominique Schaak experienced a challenging Saturday at the wheel of the #99 Chevrolet Camaro. After qualifying 14th, the race turned into a particularly difficult one when a heavy downpour caused a stoppage in the second lap.
After the restart, the Bremotion driver demonstrated his skill in difficult conditions, working his way up to eleventh place in the overall standings. This translated to fourth place in the Masters classification. In the final race on Sunday, the 36-year-old finished twelfth overall, securing third place in the Masters Trophy to conclude a strong season.
“Dominique has improved significantly this season and impressed on several occasions – including with his two top-10 finishes in Most,” Brenndörfer summarizes. “As a team, we experienced many highlights this year. Special congratulations also go to Beitske Visser, who competed alongside us for a large part of the season and ultimately secured the Ladies Trophy title. Overall, we can be very satisfied with our season. I am proud of the entire team and grateful to all the partners and sponsors who supported and accompanied us this year. We want to build on this foundation to take the next step in 2027.”
