BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET – 1000 hp under the open sky

With the new BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET, BRABUS presents one of the fastest and most exclusive Gran Turismo convertibles in the world. The open-top counterpart to the BRABUS BODO Gran Turismo Coupé is a tribute to company founder Bodo Buschmann and will be produced in a strictly limited edition of only 77 vehicles worldwide.

The open-top 2+2-seater combines a full carbon fiber body with active aerodynamics, an exclusive BRABUS Masterpiece interior, and a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine producing 1000 hp. The result: 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 360 km/h.

V12 biturbo with 1000 hp and 1200 Nm

At the heart of the BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET lies a 5.2-liter V12 biturbo engine positioned as a front-mid-engine. This high-performance engine delivers 735 kW / 1000 hp at 6,400 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 1,200 Nm between 2,900 and 5,000 rpm.

Two specially developed turbochargers, a highly efficient intercooling system, and RAM-AIR air intake ensure maximum performance. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. An electronically controlled limited-slip differential optimally distributes the power.

The driving performance is on par with supercars:

  • 0–100 km/h: 3.0 seconds

  • 0–200 km/h: 8.5 seconds

  • 0–300 km/h: 23.9 seconds

  • Top speed: 360 km/h, electronically limited

Five driving programs – Wet, GT, Sport, Sport+ and Individual – allow for individual configuration of the engine, transmission, chassis, steering and sound characteristics.

Carbon body and active aerodynamics

The entire body of the BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET is manufactured from high-strength carbon fiber using a sophisticated pre-preg process. BRABUS produces the components in its own composite manufacturing facility using an autoclave, thus combining low weight with high strength and precise surface quality.

Large RAM-AIR ducts supply the V12 with fresh air, while additional openings in the front bumper ventilate the brakes, water cooler, and oil cooler. The integrated front spoiler generates additional downforce at high speeds.

At the rear, an active carbon spoiler adjusts automatically depending on the speed. During hard braking maneuvers above 140 km/h, it also functions as an air brake.

The electrically operated and elaborately insulated fabric roof can be opened or closed in less than 15 seconds.

Piano Black or Silk Stone

For its debut, BRABUS presents the BODO CABRIOLET in two distinctive versions. The "Piano Black" variant combines the deep black body with a color-coordinated black soft top.

The "Silk Stone" version, on the other hand, features a specially developed two-tone jacquard convertible top fabric in black and gray. The woven "77" motif commemorates the year 1977, when Bodo Buschmann founded BRABUS.

With a length of 5.06 meters, a width of 2.03 meters, and a height of just 1.31 meters, the BODO CABRIOLET boasts the low and powerful silhouette of a classic Gran Turismo. A defining design element is the so-called "Bodo line," which runs from the front to the rear of the vehicle.

22-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z-GT wheels

Forged 22-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z-GT “Platinum Edition” wheels with 20 concave spokes ensure contact with the road.

BRABUS uses Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires, specially developed for the BODO, in sizes 285/30 ZR 22 at the front and 335/25 ZR 22 at the rear axle. These exclusive tires bear a "BB" marking on the sidewall.

The suspension, developed in collaboration with KW, combines a double wishbone front axle with a multi-link rear axle and electronically controlled dampers. A lift system can raise the entire vehicle by approximately 25 millimeters for ramps or driveways.

The necessary deceleration is provided by a high-performance carbon-ceramic braking system with 410 millimeter brake discs and six-piston fixed calipers on the front axle.

BRABUS Masterpiece Interior

The BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET also focuses on maximum individuality in its interior. Both variants feature a completely bespoke BRABUS Masterpiece interior.

The "Piano Black" model combines high-quality Saddle Brown leather with "Dark Shadow" trim elements and exposed carbon fiber on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, and door panels. This combination is deliberately tailored to Bodo Buschmann's personal taste.

In contrast, the “Silk Stone” model uses leather, trim elements and carbon components that echo the color scheme of the bodywork, creating an almost seamless transition between the exterior and cockpit.

The characteristic BRABUS "Shell" quilting is found on all four seats, as well as on the cockpit floor, floor mats, rear parcel shelf, and trunk. Embroidered signatures by Bodo Buschmann, BRABUS Masterpiece badges, and numerous individual details underscore the special character of this limited edition.

A tribute to BRABUS founder Bodo Buschmann

The idea for a standalone BRABUS Gran Turismo originated around two decades ago in discussions between Bodo Buschmann and his son Constantin. With the BODO Gran Turismo Coupé, this vision became a reality in 2026 – and the BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET now takes it a step further.

“Now we are going one step further with the convertible – with a car designed down to the last detail as he himself would have driven it,” explains BRABUS CEO Constantin Buschmann.

Like the coupé, the convertible is also produced as a separate series and is limited to just 77 examples worldwide. With this, BRABUS combines exceptional V12 performance, exclusive coachbuilding, and open-top Gran Turismo luxury to create one of the brand's most spectacular masterpiece supercars.
